WatchTime Düsseldorf 2024: A Celebration for Enthusiasts of Fine Timepieces

The fifth edition of WatchTime Düsseldorf promises once again to be an unforgettable experience for watch enthusiasts and collectors. The event will take place at the Rheinterrasse Düsseldorf, dedicated entirely to mechanical watches.

Venue and dates

From October 25–27, the Rheinterrasse Düsseldorf will host WatchTime Düsseldorf 2024. The opening ceremony begins on October 25 at 10 a.m. for Golden Ticket holders, press, invited collectors, and partners, followed by general admission at 12 p.m. The exclusive after-hours event with an awards ceremony will take place the same evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Opening hours for Saturday and Sunday are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., respectively.

This year’s showcase will feature numerous international watchmakers, exciting new brands, and a variety of service partners. Exhibitors include Adriatica, Äonic, Alexander Shorokhoff, Appella, Atlantic, Ba111od, Bauhaus, Baume & Mercier, Bruno Söhnle, Circula, Chronofactum with the brands Marathon and Squale, Czapek, Damasko, Dorotheum, Formex, Fortis, Hanhart, Heinrich, Hentschel, Horage, Jean Marcel, Laco, Leica, Leica Wetzlar, Magellan, March Lab, Robot, Rosenbusch, RSW, Ruhla, Seiko, Serica, Sinn, Stowa, Titoni, Tutima, Van Ham, Vandaag, and Zeppelin. Renowned jeweller Pletzsch will also return with a large stand, showcasing brands such as Franck Muller, IWC, Longines, Omega, Rado, Tag Heuer, and Zenith. Additionally, jewellery makers like Annamaria Cammilli, Fope, and Schaffrath will present their exquisite creations. Visitors can discover sporty chronographs, innovative materials, and diverse design styles, accompanied by expert explanations from CEOs and brand representatives. Stockheim Catering will provide culinary highlights, and Villiger Söhne will serve as the event’s indulgence partner.

Focus on Sustainability and the Future of Watchmaking

WatchTime Düsseldorf is not only a venue for the finest timepieces, but also a platform that highlights watchmaking’s craftsmanship. Attendees will gain fascinating insights into the world of horology and its various offerings. High-quality services will enable watch lovers to keep their valuable pieces in top condition. Moreover, there will be comprehensive information on educational paths and academy offerings, allowing young talents to embark on this traditional craft.

The following exhibitors will share their expertise and diverse offerings:

  • The Bavarian Master School of Watchmaking specialises in demagnetization and accuracy testing.
  • ChronoRestore is a workshop that focuses on the fine mechanics of an automatic clock.
  • The German Society for Chronometry works with various types of movements.
  • The Max Born Vocational College specializes in watch manufacturing.
  • Using microscope cameras, the Certified Service Workshop Jeweller Pletzsch provides accuracy testing and in-depth insights into a movement.

New Highlight: The WatchTime Award

The event will launch the newly introduced WatchTime Award to commemorate its fifth anniversary. The award encompasses four categories:

  • Collector’s Choice Award
  • Watch Person of the Year
  • Innovation of the Year
  • Design of the Year

On watchtime.net, public voting for the first two categories will begin at the end of August. A jury consisting of the WatchTime editorial team and seasoned experts will evaluate the submissions. The after-hours event on October 25, 2024, will announce the winners. Golden Ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to congratulate the winners in person while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
